From meditating with a Himalayan monk and dialoging with His Holiness Dalai Lama to reviewing research grants in an NIH study section and serving as a full professor at Mayo Clinic, Everyday Health Wellness Advisory Board member Amit Sood, MD, has collected wisdom from a variety of enriching experiences that he integrates to develop novel resiliency solutions.

Dr. Sood is the creator of SMART (Stress Management and Resiliency Training), the Resilient Option, Certified Resilience Trainer, and Year of Healing programs; and the mobile apps Mood Candy and Zizo: Your Resilience Pal. He serves as a member of the BetterUp Scientific Advisory Board. He is one of the world's leading experts on resilience and well-being, and executive director of the Global Center for Resiliency and Wellbeing. He is a former professor of medicine, and Carla and Russ Paonessa Chair for student life and wellness at Mayo Clinic.

Dr. Sood has authored or coauthored over 70 peer-reviewed papers and is the author of several books including, The Mayo Clinic Guide to Stress-Free Living, The Mayo Clinic Handbook for Happiness, Mindfulness Redesigned, SMART With Dr. Sood, The Resilience Journal, Build Your Immune Resilience, 2021: Your Year of Healing, and That Makes Sense.

Dr. Sood has presented at some of the highest impact forums, such as TEDx, Lake Nona, Forbes Under 30 Forum, Conference Board, Beckers, YPO, NPR, NAMI, NASA, One Mind @Work, and Business Group of Health, as well as at keynotes for Fortune 500 companies, universities, foundations, and others.

He has received numerous awards, including the 2010 Distinguished Service, 2010 Innovator of the Year, 2013 Outstanding Physician Scientist, and 2016 Faculty of the Year awards, all from Mayo Clinic. He was selected as one among the top 20 intelligent optimist in the world (Ode Magazine). Dr. Sood was also selected by RWJ Foundation as one of the healthcare pioneers.
